Ronald McDonald House Charities® Bay Area (RMHC Bay Area) provides communities of support, access to medical care, and the healing power of family and home for critically ill children.

Their vision is to create communities where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, courage, and joy.

Families staying at Ronald McDonald Houses travel long distances to access their children’s essential medical care and often stay far from home for extended periods. Although we ask for a nominal donation of $10 per night, no family is turned away due to inability to pay.

More than a place to stay, Ronald McDonald Houses provide safe and supportive communities for families to rest, heal and thrive together.

They believe in the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a child is sick and keeping families together is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.

RMHC Bay Area creates comprehensive programs and services to families uprooted by pediatric medical crises through our:

123-room House at Stanford
(partner hospital: Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford)

11-room Ronald McDonald House in San Francisco
(inside UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay)

2 Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles
(providing preventative dental care to children throughout the Bay Area.
